Beloved Proprietor of the Marshfield Hills General Store since 2009
Natives of Massachusetts, Steve Carell and his wife Nancy are continually drawn home, not only because of their own personal history but because of their personal love of history and the sense of nostalgia the region evokes. A far cry from the Hollywood Hills, Marshfield Hills is a sleepy section of Marshfield, MA a coastal community south of Boston. Complete with its own post office, library, fire station, playground, consignment shop, and art society, the village is anchored by the historic Marshfield Hills General Store, which Steve Carell graciously purchased and restored solely to preserve a piece of Americana. Along with Nancy’s sister Tish, who operates the Store, the Carells have provided the neighborhood and its visitors not only an epicenter for daily life today, but a memorable trip to yesteryear and a glimpse at 19th Century New England.
